Baby Jogger made a huge announcement today at the ABC Kids Expo that they will be releasing an all-new lightweight, compact stroller called the City Tour. The City Tour looks very similiar to the City Mini 4-Wheel, but it’s much smaller and lighter. It folds super compact and will compete with other high-end lightweight travel strollers like the BabyZen YoYo, Mountain Buggy Nano, ZOE XL1 BEST & DELUXE, GB Qbit, and of course the GB Pockit. All of these strollers have already forged an entire new sub-category of lightweight strollers deemed the lightweight travel stroller category. Many of these strollers can fit into airplane overhead compartments and are really great for on-the-go, travelling, and even just big city urban parents.
The City Tour is expected to retail for $219.99 which makes it cheaper than it’s big sister, the City Mini. It is expected to weigh around 13lbs, have a decent canopy, and all of the other basic features of it’s full-size counterpart, while folding very compactly.
As Baby Jogger releases more details on this stroller, we will continue to update this page and eventually have our own full review and of course, giveaway!! Stay tuned!

Hi. It’s Jill here at Magic Beans. In this video I’m going to show you the Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller. This is the Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller, and it is their smallest stroller to date, but is still fully featured. This stroller weighs just 14 pounds and has as super easy fold. You can use it with children from 6 months and up and up to 45 pounds. It does have full suspension in the front, really easy great recline, and to fold it … Super small, just 14 pounds.
One of the best things about the Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller is that it folds up small enough to fit in the overhead compartment on an aircraft, and it is certified for airline travel. The Baby Jogger City Tour Stroller also comes with this really great backpack-style travel bag, so your hands are free if you need to get on the plane or deal with your children. Hi everybody, it’s Holly from Baby Gizmo, and I am at the ABC Expo in Las Vegas to give you a sneak peak of the Baby Jogger city Tour stroller. It’s coming out in March, 2016 & 2017. It’s going to retail for $429. This is like a single version of the city Select, an updated version of the City Versa. Let’s go ahead and show you what it’s about. You guys know the Versa, we showed you the Versa a couple years ago. This has a different fabric. It’s an upgraded fabric, so I think. It has a different weave on it.
The seat has a higher weight capacity than you would find on the City Select. Fifty pound capacity in the seat. It has a taller seat back, and the seat has an extendable … It has an adjustable footrest. It goes up and down, plus it extends out. There is a padded adjustable five-point harness in the seat. The seat obviously reclines like that, plus it is a reversible seat so that you can reverse to have your baby watch you or that you can have them look out at the world.
It also has an extendable handle here. Remember the Versa went up and down. This one extends out like that for the taller parent, so it’s going to give you a better push depending on how tall you are. It has a hand brake over here, so there’s no need to mess up your pedicure, do anything like that. The hand brake is right there, very accessible. When you need to move on the go, you push it down.
Let’s go down to the basket and the wheels. The basket under here, very large basket. We love the baskets on the Baby Jogger because they’re very accessible. You can get from the side, the front and the back. These wheels are also different than we had on the City Versa. These are polyurethane wheels. They are about 12″ in the back. I’m not quite sure of the front, but I would go ahead and guess 7″. The front wheels have a swivel wheel with the ability to lock straight, if you want to take it on a little bit of all-terrain.
Lets’ go ahead and show you how it folds. Back here is a squeeze right back here. You flap the seat forward, you pull the strap like that. I didn’t put the seat, there we go. It folds down like that. We don’t have a final weight on it because this is a prototype, but when it comes out in March, we will give you all of the full details. It has an automatic lock right here on the side. I love the fact that it locks on its own. To open it up, like that, put your seat back up into place.
I didn’t talk about the canopy. Let’s do the canopy really fast. We have a nice three-panel canopy with two peek-a-boo windows. You know why two peek-a-boo windows? You don’t know where the kid is in there. You gotta peek over here, you gotta peek over there. I don’t know, but I love the fact that it has magnetic closures, so there is no Velcro here to wake a sleeping baby. That is the City Tour. Like I said, coming out in March, 2016 & 2017. Going to retail for $429. I apologize about my voice, but it has been a long ABC Kids Expo and the voice is going guys, so leave me a comment. Let me know. What do you like best about the City Tour? What’s your favorite feature? Don’t forget to subscribe to our YouTube channel. I’ll talk to you later. Bye.
